It's only too late when you give up.
There's millions that made their money in their 40s and 50s, you just don't hear about it because it's a much more common situation than the 21 year old startup billionaire.
The only problem with being older is that it's more likely that you'll have a family/people depending on you and because of that you don't have the same risk tolerance as a 20 or 30 year old.
