Hello /biz/:

I feel it's only fair to warn you that I will be dumping a significant quantity of DOGE and BTC tomorrow (August 6th) at 1:30 AM EST. The BTC will be unlikely to result in any movement price wise (though it is a sizeable volume that I'm dealing with here and it will show) but the quantity of DOGE I'm dealing with will probably crash the price significantly.

Plan your affairs accordingly. There will be an initial sell off at exactly 1:30AM, and after this spike, a main wave. Note this is only for DOGE. I rarely trade BTC but I seriously doubt I have the volume necessary to shift prices in any capacity.

Is anyone else here as pissed as I am about the recent Bittrex implementation of a .0005 transaction minimum? >Like .0005BTC value minimum?

Yes, i.e. you can't trade anything if the total BTC value of whatever you're moving is less than 0.0005. The previous limit of X amount of coins on a coin-per-coin basis was much more practical. Now, if you buy 100 coins for a total of 0.000502btc and it takes a small dip , you are unable to move any of them. Or let's say you buy the same amount and the price goes up 10% and you want to sell 50% of your bag and keep the rest to see where it goes - unable to do so. It's unfortunate.

Alex Jones is obviously crazy with the majority of his talking points, but just because that one guy is behind something in no way means there's anything wrong with it.

Bitcoin seriously is revolutionary - and the practice and theory of cryptocurrencies will absolutely change finance in a gigantic way. Jones likes to go off on ridiculous tangents and skew off the path to make entertainment. He's also "behind" the constitution and not letting cops have rocket launchers. Sure, he says weird stuff like "cops are making copper mining camps for innocent people to get arrested for pot and then mine copper for the police state" but just because he's ridiculous doesn't mean you have to go the opposite and give all cops rocket launchers.

Jones may say Bitcoin is going to dethrone the NWO and stop funding to Bohemian Grove WE HAVE THE DOCUMENTS PEOPLE or some crap, but that doesn't mean anything regarding what Bitcoin really is all about. Besides, congress already ruled BTC to be property, not currency in the fiat sense.

trading action is so funny on it right now

various tactics being used to incite a dump to little if any reaction

via has been hard to sell and rebuy lower without waiting a long time in between

it's going higher. I remember selling a bunch of DRK when it went up huge at first only to see it 20x after

and via has a lot more upside than drk IMO, so I'm being careful selling it at the moment

but profit is profit, so if you don't see a huge rise in the future of course sell, I'm selling tiny amounts hoping to buy in cheaper but as I said that is hard with VIA at the moment

Listen up fags. Plankton Whale FOOD was practically dead and has been passed off to a big developer aka The Whale. He just made a new announcement thread in bitcointalkthread and they are gonna go ahead and change the purpose of the coin. It's currently at 2 satoshi each coin so even if they have moderate success you are almost guaranteed some proffit. I mean dude, if from 2 satoshi it goes up to 4 then you doubled up and if it goes to 10 satoshi then you will crap your pants. I know what I'm buying.

1000% true. What's your opinion - what will be next?DRX?

>> No.448210

>>448118
Depends on your patience and your level of greed. I would give drx some time since all new coins first drop a bit until they find their true price. The coin seems interesting and I would put in some small orders that I know I could easily sell if the developers start fucking up. If they seem cool then I think I might buy some during the week.

It's not about making 3000% returns. Milky has it partially right, small constant positive results are the name of the game; I only disagree with how long he stays attached to a coin. Make your money and move on.

I was building some trading software to work with major exchanges, analyze data, etc. - but just found out about zeroblock.com. Platform seems kind of weak but they're the blockchain developers so they'll definitely get more of the market than me.

I have the domain btcdata.co - any ideas on what I could pivot to? What does bitcoin need that doesn't yet exist or that needs improvement?

I've had this idea many times. If you have your website work like Zeroblock's but with all coins on an exchange (e.g Bittrex) which you can sort through using specific criteria such as 24-hour gains etc then your site would get a larger part of the market. Heck I wouldn't mind paying a subscription fee each month if you can emulate the larger penny stock trading platforms.
