Okay so just had all my MEW accounts show 0 after a windows update and thought I'd been robbed of 110k LINK.

Pretty much had a complete nervous breakdown.

I don't want to ever feel like that again, so please anon, recommend a hardware wallet where my cryptos will be safe.

Trezor, Ledger, or something else?

I didn't lose it. Read the OP again. I thought I lost it, because MEW was showing 0 for the balances, which I thought meant I'd been robbed. However once I reuploaded the token info the balance went back to normal.

Scared me pretty badly, so I want to buy a hardware wallet.

You need to do that with a hardware wallet anyway.

Yeah, but a hardware wallet allows you to make transactions without exposing it to keyloggers etc.
