I have access to around 1500 devices - half of them desktop PCs and the other half Macbook laptops. Would it be possible to silently deploy a crypto miner on them to run during off hours? I can deploy via group policy or MDM server.

Not if you.pay for electricity, but if you have access to 1500 devices like OP, you can probably mine something like Montero or vertcoin.

If OP mines Aeon and assuming these computers have quad cores and get 400h/s on cryptonight-lite OP will earn $11.01 per hour

Assuming he can run them 12 hours a day thats $132.12 per day

>do it OP

The risk of getting caught is huge but otherwise good plan.
