Keep it simple. Keep your charts clean. Just japanese candles.

Use all time frames from 1 min to 1 month.

Remember higher time frames are more important that lower time frames.

There is always a reason why the market bounced.

Levels first, then patterns that form around the levels.

Learn your basic patterns. There are around 15 in total. Then set yourself an exercise of finding 10 examples of each one. It will take you a few days work but can honestly say that it is worth the effort. It will help you learn how to spot them in real time.

Do a plan on a sunday before the market opens and draw on just the key longer term levels. It is important cause it is the only time during the week where you are thinking objectively, i.e. the market isn't moving.

If you are beginning, don't trade all markets - most professionals trade just one or two. There is a reason for that.

Markets are not random. There is nothing random about how businesses make money. There never has been, there never will be.

The only way to get better at trading is to work your ass off.

In 10 years of trading I have learned one important thing. Above all else. There are NO shortcuts. Not a single one.

Remember also that time frames are a bit like russian dolls, they all fit inside each other.... sort of fractal in that nature.
