Ripple is trying to disrupt the status quo in banking and financial institutions

ChainLink is looking to compliment and expand their capabilities by allowing any information into smart contracts

I'm there may be a time when Ripple makes more sense for the industry but I'd wager a lot of companies aren't ready to get dick deep in crypto as Ripple requires.

I think that's the beauty of ChainLink; a monumental stepping stone to getting smart contracts in the hands of the real whales (Banks and financial institutions)

Okay, so what if you've got LINK tokens but are not a data/API provider? Is there going to be any way to earn additional LINK by staking and/or running a node on the network if you are not in a position to provide a specific data connection? Can you "stake" your own LINK with an actual data provider's node (sort of like a mining pool)?
