I am suddenly interested in programming but I am just at the very beginning phase of it. So can /biz advise me which language is the best to learn and how much effort/time it might take to get to a lvl to make profit off of it?!

Python, you can write scripts that will actually help you in your day to day + its easy to pick up, then c++ after if you still like it

This is like telling someone to start learning math by doing calculus. You're much less likely to get overwhelmed by learning Python first.

i started learning c so that i could program led lights using an arduino, along with python for the raspberry pi. started off not knowing what i was looking at to being able to write a full program in about 2 days. my advice: pick a project you're interested it and find some examples online

this pretty much.
If you're into games, unity+c#
if you wanna make bots/useful day to day shit, python
if you want arduino, c

the learning comes from actually enjoying it and wanting to know more, which is not gonna happen if you're doing this for the sake of having learned a language.

C/C++ is fucking easy and industry standard for a lot of shit and been around forever. Learning assembly first would fit your metaphor better.
