new to trading, so forgive my retardation.

question is:

is the coin exchange obligated to buy my cryptos when I request to sell
or does another trader have to actually want to buy the coins

for example, if I was the only person who ever bought a particular coin
am I therefore trapped with those coins?

thanks

Person to person, like all trading. Exchange is just a platform.

Exchanges have to buy your coins.

Which is why I'm minting 1 Trillion RetardBux in my garage, because the exchange will then be forced to buy them from me.

Don't worry OP. I didn't even know how buy orders worked right up until the point I bought my first ATH

there's an order book where you can see the list of buys and sell orders
so yes its very possible for that second one to happen, it's a liquidity issue.

However, as long as its not some shitcoin at 1 satoshi that's been there for a year with 0 volume increase, you should be fine.

Another retard question, since the thread is still alive

What potential is there for another MAJOR jump in a crypto currency's value?

The market seems hugely oversatured now, close to 1000 coins,
and very few of them seem to be doing anything new

>slightly more secure
>slightly faster transactions
>slightly more private

doesn't seem like enough to make everyone jump ship from BTC to ___coin

so many coins sitting below $0.01,
the jew in me wants to buy $50 of each, just in case one goes to the moon

but i feel like the growth will be much slower and less impressive from here on out

>jump ship

It's not about jump ship. It's about Monero, for example, being used by coinhive.

They have to want it. When they don't want to buy your 3000 shitcoins, that is when you become what is known as a bag holder.
