It's actually the gook CEO of the Ethereum foundation that brought on realistic business ideas to the coin and made it mainstream. It was all the investors that put in their input that made much of the features a reality. Vitalik was the genius behind it but has no understanding of the economics behind it.

We have to give him credit though, he listened, at least enough for it to matter. He wasn't a stubborn autist who was a super perfectionist. He had a vision and stuck with it and made some compromises along the way.
