Anybody else not tell a lot of people they know about crypto because you know you'll have to explain everything to them all the time and it will get tiring and they won't want to do anything/any research themselves?

They'll just expect you to do everything for them and get gains?

The only person I talked to about it is my wife, and after a few days she went
