Is there some reason that monero's anonymity is superior to ethereum's upcoming ZK-Snarks?

im interested in this also, as im currently holding monero.

Yes. ZK-Snarks, as also used in Zcash, rely on you to trust specific parties to create and destroy an initial set of keys that would otherwise unmask privacy. If that doesn't happen you could be fucked. Given Zcash literally being developed by the Jews (no I'm serious), and Ethereum's previous style of intervening (DAO hard fork), it's questionable whether it'll be truly anonymous.

Monero does not require reliance on trusted parties.

Nothing is better than deeponion coin when it comes to anonymity.

Thanks, that's pretty much made up my mind at least

XSPEC?

Eth is opt-in.

Monero is the only true privacy coin and even it needs work.

XSPEC has better tech, no country block and 5% annual interest.

>> No.3216039

Monero's privacy exists right now, has been tested, and is the default, there's no way to not be private with Monero

Scam. Nice try though shill.

Monero doesn't work in several countries where TOR is bsnned, yet it uses i2p. Makes no fucking sense. XSPEC however does work in places like China and middle East oil countries so basically it will go through the fucking ceiling once the chinaman picks up on it

Apart from the other reasons that were already posted, any upcoming ethereum anonymity would not be on by default. So only a small part of the transactions would be anonymous, which would make them stick out, and ultimately mark these coins as suspicious. In Zcash for example, only 3% use the anonymous transactions. This would be the same for ethereum. Moneros transactions are all, 100%, anonymous by default.

The transactions can't be deobfuscated. If _everyone_ in the trusted setup colluded / were compromised they could print more ZEC. Z-transactions are more private than Monero's but it requires the trusted setup and they're not enforced (at least for now).

Worth noting though that the anonymity set for z-transactions isn't as great as it could be as it's not by default.

With ZEC:
Your tx is "mixed" with the entire pool of z-txes

With XMR:
Your tx is "mixed" with a subset (mixin) of every past tx, this subset can be increased considerably whenever RuffCT is integrated

Correct me if I'm wrong I'm just rambling.
