So I just interviewed for a position at a bank and they asked me to sign a paper saying they can legally check my credit.

I have a low credit score of 611 because of a really small student loan ($1500), credit age of 0, and only 1 total account.

Will this destroy my chances at getting the job?

Usually credit checks for employment are just there to verify you don't have large outstanding debts. They don't want to have any incentive of ripping the bank off.

It doesn't matter, they'll just find some other excuse to fuck you over.
>Personality test failed
>Years of experience failed
>GPA too low failed
>Wrong degree failed
>Incorrect race to fill our Affirmative Action quota failed
>Bad credit failed
>Not a son or immediate family member of the company failed
But hey good luck.

Let's hope so. I'm hoping they'll just see I don't have any outstanding debt and that I only had one loan.

Well it's just for a part-time teller position. I'm currently in college and showed them my transcript. I have a 4.0 and they were very impressed with me in the interview, and the woman who interviewed me was a loan officer who complimented me on how well I was dressed and how well-spoken I was.

Overall my interview went 9/10 but my only worry is the credit report.

If everything else is good, then I wouldn't worry too much
Hopefully a bank knows the difference between a bad score due to being new to credit, and a bad score due to sucking at credit

Hopefully. I'm really counting on this to get my foot in the door with this bank.

It pays really well, and they have a great internship program which would really help me out in the long run since I'm studying finance.
