How fucked are we? Why are these numbers so high? Why is the market disconnected from these calculations? I wish my silber was at 188.11/oz. Are we going to be the Chinese States of America in 2026?

yeah i get that, but silver price per ounce is $25 dollars, so wtf happened? Did a shit ton of silver suddenly just come into being in the past century? Obviously our uses haven't decreased since 1913.

I think they are suppressing the price for utility.

well, yeah. The item should have the same if not more valuation considering silver's high demand, and if money is inflating/deflating, it should still be worth the same amount in value. A change in the ratio of about 200 times is unusual no matter how you slice it.

Thinking this as well, I kind of understand those /pmg/ fags now

So if im understanding this.

>i can buy 1 oz of gold for about $1800 usd
>that 1 oz of gold should really cost $35205 usd

Correct?

this was the excuse for demonetizing it. it had a basis in truth, but it was mostly a lie to obtain seignorage gain and enable debt financing.

assuming we were still on a gold standard, that would be the price, assuming the original ratio. there's too many variables to say what it "should" cost.

>> No.30425342

>>30424984
That's nearly a 20x on gold if I went all in and the paper scam collapsed. Approximately a 160x on silver. Don't see this paper scam collapsing anytime soon and if it does I get the suspicion the price of gold/silver will be irrelevant.

now multiply that by the number of claims to each physical oz. (~188) and see what number you get (~$ to Ag ratio).
>Did a shit ton of silver suddenly just come into being in the past century?
A shit ton of paper silver suddenly came into existence.

>> No.30425866

>>30425679
If you multiply it you get basically the original ratio give or take a hundred dollars, interesting. So is the paper silver ever going to go away?
