I don't know how people manage to lose money with the current market.
Still, you probably learned a lesson.
Of course BTC is safer but you won't have nowhere near the same leverage as with alts, given you don't fuck up. What did you buy anyway?

Do not buy altcoins. Go to coinbase, get btc, send to cold storage, ride the bubble cycles.

I am now almost up 1000%. I am trying to help you guys ascend too. DO NOT BUY AlTS and never sell your btc. The probability is that you will be better off holding.

Ive just started getting into crypto these pass few weeks, I have $600 dollars in btc and planning to add $100 dollars each week, reckon its gonna be worth it over trading?

Did you buy digibyte?

We're up like 300% since May. Bitcoin is literally a full proof investment.

Savings accounts and stocks are things of the past.

Your $600 would've been $1800 by now.

Maybe $3600 by the end of the year.

Solid advice. Unfortunately most people on /biz/ think they are amazing day traders. They should at the very least put half in BTC and keep half for their gambling and see which one did better in a year.

Damn I thought I was bad with -33% of initial bitcoin balance gone
That's still $20 over my principle though... so here I wait in purgatory

As a long term hold it will be profitable.
However it may take some time, $600 is not a lot.
If you do your research and believe in an altcoin, you might wanna take the risk for a bigger reward.

Yes, but be aware that there will eventually be a correction. Could be at 5000, could be at 10000. Understand that the btc holders have become hardened as fuck due to the past bear cycles which lasted years but we kept buying thought. Bitcoin has a huge fanbase with deep pockets and we are looking to eat the entire financial systems lunch.

Peer to peer digital cash system. Keep saying it until you realize the implications.

Anyways, my larger idea is that you, the average dude, knowing that you are stupid and will fuck up trading (like me) should just frickin hold. Don't trade, don't buy alts. Ride the cycles, clad your testicles in adamant. I suffered through 2 years of seeing btc go from 1000 to 150. I stuck it through and kept buying because I actually looked at the fundamentals. Do the same and concentrate on what matters. Don't let altcoiners and scammers lead you astray.

Yeah Im just thinking would it be better to put my savings per week straight into btc, or taking my chances with some alt coins, I hold some OMG and TENX atm since I've looked into those and they have promise imo

OK anons, thanks I really apperciate it, I only hold two alts atm, OMG and TENX but I definitely think Im gonna go the way of just holding onto my BTC and adding $100-$150 btc to my portfolio each week , Im not expecting to go to lambo land just have a cushy amount in a few years.

You won't have a cushy amount in a few years, you will be on cloud nine in a decade. Corrections will happen in a few years. But are you in this for a few years or are you in this because you put in the effort to even understand how the fuck Bitcoin works and because you understand it, you are willing to bet on your mind rather than your heart? Don't even but if you are in this for a few years and don't even know wtf us going on.

Just saying, please use your head and buy because you KNOW it's right, not because the price is going up.

apologies when I say few years I mean 8+, I understand what the hype and potential about it is now, especially after looking to understand it for the past few months, , before all I do is use to to buy shit online, I was very ignorant to it back then.
