It's ridiculous, how can they be more worth than all other car makers combined? The demand for a Tesla is not even there, nobody I know wants a Tesla, they all want Mustangs, jdm cars, or Porsches. WHO THE FUCK BUYS TESLA?

>> No.30395171

It's down 35% in a short period of time.
It's impossible to say what will happen short term but it sure looks like the bubble is cracking.

Have you seen the stock price tanking? Honestly though, I see these things every fucking day now in a relatively poor-average income area.

I believe it's due to not being able to buy SpaceX stocks directly so people buy Tesla instead.

Cool to see mochimo $mcm finnally starting to blowing up. So few projects like it these days.

This makes no sense though. SpaceX can boom while Tesla goes bankrupt and shuts down.

It isn’t just the car itself that gives it value, the self driving AI that’s being developed will be sold to every other car maker in the world which in itself is worth shit tons. That being said though it’s still overpriced.

tesla is dead, every other car maker is coming out with an EV this year, even the fucking jeep wrangler is EV now. Tesla builds shitty cars, but they were the only one doing it. Now they are going to $100

>> No.30395287

And to answer your question, how can it be worth so much? The answer is that people believe that structural growth business should give the best returns so they end up overpaying for businesses like this. Intuivitely it makes sense but in reality small no-growth companies in boring sectors give much higher returns.

Apple is dead, every other phone maker is coming out with a smart phone this year, even the fucking nokia is a smart phone now. Apple builds shitty smart phones, but they were the only one doing it. Now they are going to $100

Tesla is apart of Elon and by extension all of his other companies as well. Remember, they don't just sell cars. They're going for green energy in general.

Tesla is getting crushed in Europe, they are losing market share rapidly and have to lower their prices which in turn puts pressure on their already weak margins.

Other car companies stepping in is a major problem for Tesla, this is becoming more and more evident every quarter.

>Tesla is apart of Elon and by extension all of his other companies as well
And yet SpaceX can boom while Tesla goes bankrupt. So how are you investing in SpaceX if there's no correlation between the performance of Tesla as a company and success of SpaceX? Sure Elon MIGHT pull profits from SpaceX to Tesla, he might also do the opposite, what is this argument

>> No.30395467

>>30395128
I agree, Tesla is absurdly overvalued. The buyers, middle class consumerists who spend their money on tourism in normal years and don't know what to do with it due to pandemic travel restrictions. Wouldn't be surprised to see them "withdraw" their investments when the vaccinations are through.

how often do we have to explain this to you brainlets?
tsla valuation is not about building shitty EVs or batteries
its about the self driving capabilities and software
the value of a working self driving tech is hard to estimate, but it certainly is a multiple of tslas current stock market value

>> No.30395818

>>30395706

the valuation doesn't represent current fundamentals and when this happens the expected returns for the stock is incredibly bad. This is pure statistics, every time investors base stock price on fantasies it ends in disasters.
We understand that you are pricing in stuff in development, but what you don't understand is that this is a terrible idea.

>> No.30395959

>>30395459
Look man, the market doesn't make sense. It does whatever it wants. If you don't buy the fundamentals of the company to be the reason then that's the next closest thing.

>> No.30395987

Those are promises, nothing more. I've worked in R&D long enough to know that they aren't worth shit until every single requirement for market entry is met. Lots of unsolved non-trivial problems, each of them a can of worms highly likely to produce more unsolved non-trivial problems. Nobody can say for sure that Tesla will be the first to solve them. The expectation that Tesla is going to control the world markets is nothing I would bet money on. Their marketing is excellent, sure. Glorious promises and millions of cult-like followers. Their manufacturing quality, product reliability and product price is shit though, even by American standards.

American protectionism can help Apple survive on Apple's home market. The rest of the world will buy their luxury phones in China though. Apple never had significant market shares there to begin with.
