BAT actually has a use case. The various decentralized VPNs/Clouds have use cases. There may be a few used by companies for insurance or transaction confirmations that are legitimate.

But you're right, most of them are literally speculation. All the "digital currency" projects are pure ponzi schemes, as are defi and DEX.

The same excitement you get seeing your gains, they get by buying a fucking Logan Paul's or Grimes's NFT. They're buying it, usually without the intention to sell at a higher price, they just want to have whatever shit their idols release. The first thing in crypto space people actually want to hold for itself. And no, I'm not a faggot who'd get excited about stuff like that but there are faggots actually wanting this.

>What is Project Sand Dollar?
Project Sand Dollar is the initiative embarked upon by Central Bank of The Bahamas to issue its own digital version of the Bahamian dollar (B$) as well as implement the appropriate digital payments system infrastructure to sufficiently underpin the operation of a digital currency ecosystem.

>Why does the Central Bank of The Bahamas think we need this?
To advance more inclusive access to regulated payments and other financial services for under-serviced communities and socio-economic groups; as well as to reduce service delivery costs and increase transactional efficiency for financial services across The Bahamas.

IF RLC actually gets adoption, the creation of a decentralized cloud hosting system will literally be the technology that revolutionizes the internet. Imagine making a website dedicated to chinese gore videos but then amazon takes it off of AWS because Xi called up Bezos and told him to either take it down or get the 3 inch yellow penis up his ass. Now imagine there's a decentralized cloud service where you can reupload all your shit and as long as you're paying Iexec in RLC you can never be taken down ever because no one has administrative rights over that cloud service.

"Decloud" encompasses all the decentralization ideals of crypto and even better it is actually relevant to the internet in a time when jews are trying to clamp down on opposition and writing articles about how the internet is "too free".

The only thing which could possibly stop it is if the powers that be realize this is the case (and it's on fucking binance, the most centralized chinkjew exchange of all) and shut it down to prevent it from freeing people from their tyranny and hosting "chinksplat.lol" free of persecution by Beijing and their puppets in Sacramento.

The main problem is with the distribution of voting tokens (aka digital ballots.) To prevent sybil attacks, you would have to prevent each person from getting more than one digital ballot. In theory you could distribute digital ballots without recording the address of each registered voter, but that would require trusting that the feds aren't secretly tying your address to your identity anyway, which knowing the feds, they probably would. I don't know if Monero's zero knowledge proofs could be made to work with votes (ideally you need to hide not just who votes for who, but whether they voted at all or burnt their ballot, and you also need to make this privacy protection work with systems other than FPTP.)
Also normies could easily be tricked into using fake voting software.
