I 100% agree. All these changes are in support of ETH's scaling issues. I don't know if people realize what ETH is trying to do here. They are basically trying to be web 3.0. Creating and managing that doesn't happen overnight. Go take a look at some of the EIP discussions on github, watch the dev talk videos. There are a shit ton of world renowned developers focused on scaling and maintaining ETH. L2's are already taking off.
