Well /biz/ it seems like this is vitalik's plan to scale ETH as it stands:
https://ethresear.ch/t/cross-rollup-dex-with-smart-contracts-only-on-the-destination-side/8778
All data is moving to one rollup (seems most likely an optimistic roll up)
The majority of simple swaps and transfers are moving to another roll up

What two things will these be?

The thing that makes sense is Optimistic Ethereum, either the version being made by the ETH soiboys.

But for the other roll up, with transfers and simple swaps, what is it? If I have to guess, it would be loopring. This is because Loopring has the top swap volume of any roll up and the most backing by the ETH community. ZK roll up has way higher security than OR so it makes sense to have non data stuff go on to loopring.

I could be wrong here, open to other opinions. Basically asking what roll ups to invest in.

arbitrum

have a read up on arbitrum rollups and how they're comparing to optimism.
and if you're just looking for something to invest in, they both use ETH as the native token and will not have their own tokens

Arbitrum uses LINK though doesn't it? I'm heavy on LINK neways. So it would be nice if they pump my bags.

however, I don't see too many people talking about arbitrum. It seems like the ETH community is set on using Optimistic Ethereum and not Arbitrum. I actually do think Arbitrum is probably superior since Ed Felten seems like an autist and the OE team seems like a bunch of soi men and azn gurls who just joined to get white dick.

In vitalik's paper he is talking about using TWO different roll ups, one with data availability and one with no data availability and simple transfer and swap ability.

IMO it describes a ZK rollup (loopring) and either Arbitrum or OE. OE seems more aligned though with the Ethereum crowd.

I don't think there is anyway to invest in OE, but I know they will probably have a token at some point since it seems VC's invested in them.

Not sure about what vitalik said. I can't imagine anything other than zk roll-up though since it is high security than both plasma and OE. Not sure if zksync has any traction at the moment. I think they are more a down the road thing. So might be loopring. Idk tho

the answer is omg network and you know it

can't execute smartcontracts with it, which is the entire point of ethereum

Did you read the paper vitalik just wrote brainlet?
https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1367587474998882305

He is specifically talking about a DEX solution that involves using a non smart contract roll up, and a smart contract roll up.

Optimism is garbage

L2s is just the final straw of pump n dumps before ETH abandoned completely for Avalanche and Dfinity.

no one with above 100 IQ wants to use oracles that need to be manually KYCed by Sergey. it's literally centralized.

1. he didn't actually contradict what I said
2. what he's proposing is essentially nullifying the entire point of trustless

$10 billion+ in Defi says otherwise lol.

And Sergey is the contract operator. Of course he gets to choose his nodes.
