> Gurkha, flying in his swift and powerful Vimana, hurled against the three cities of the Vrishnis and Andhakas a single projectile charged with all the power of the universe.

> An incandescent column of smoke and fire, as brilliant as ten thousand suns, rose in all its splendor. It was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death, which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and Andhakas.

> The Earth shook, scorched by the terrible heat of this weapon. Elephants burst into flames and ran to and fro in a frenzy, seeking a protection from terror. Over a vast area other animals crumpled to the ground and died. The waters boiled, and the creatures residing therein also died.

> The corpses were so burnt that they were no longer recognizable. Hair and nails fell out. Pottery broke without cause. Birds, disturbed, circled in the air and were turned white. After a few hours, all foodstuffs were infected. To escape, the soldiers threw themselves in streams to wash themselves and their equipment. With the destruction ended, the Kuru king, Yudistthira, was informed of the power of the iron thunderbolt and the slaughter of the Vrishnis.

"This is what Bitcoin’s Alert Key system was designed to do. There’s one problem, though, and it’s a big one: the Alert Key was removed from the Bitcoin protocol software in 2016. It had not been used since April 2014. At the time, developers gave this justification: they feared the key could be abused and access to its features may have been compromised. Reportedly, there was a possibility that Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles had somehow gained access to the keys, and the access codes had fallen into the hands of Japanese police after Karpeles’ arrest and interrogation."

From what I read it doesn't exist anymore so what is the point of the lawsuit now?

A fraud who claims to be Satoshi.
But in a way, I can kind of appreciate him. The crypto world is full of coins that are even more fraudulent than him. So many pump-and-dumps, ponzis, and rugpulls. Where did we go so wrong? Why can't we just have a decentralized, usable currency? Why does it have to be constantly raped and pillaged by gambling whales, shysters, (((miners))), and worst of all, wannabe bankers? BTC could have even killed the energy fud with PoS so long ago, but miners won't let it happen, and will never let it happen.
We were so close to greatness.

Craig last week announced litigation against the devs for BTC (Core), BCH (Cash), and BSV (Satoshi's Vision) stating they need to provide him access to a particular batch of the Satoshi keys due to a hack on his personal device in February of 2020.
>Alert Key was originally implemented in 2011 (and the intent for such was well documented on Bitcointalk/Bitcoin.org by Satoshi himself) to allow devs to provide direction to miners regarding court orders regarding arbitration disputes, theft, exchange hacks, etc.
BTC (Core) removed the code in 2016 citing "security risks" of "unauthorized alert key holders" to "push political messages that do not align with the project's core values".

One thing those following Craig's antics were confused about were why his lawyer's served Mark Karpales (Mt. Gox Founder) regarding the theft of some of Satoshi's origin coins that were stored on the Mt. Gox exchange. Craig goes on to state in the filing that Mark was directly responsible for the exchange hack and sold the coins on the open market and on various exchanges, with Craig claiming he purchased some and still hold them un-transacted to this day.
>why would Craig serve Mark a summons / subpoeana for Mt. Gox Coins in the same case he is seeking BTC, BCH, and BSV devs to turn over 100k coins via court order?
Welllll.... Who were the only three people who are publicly known to hold an Alert key?
>Satoshi Nakamoto (Bitcoin Founder)
>Mark Karpeles (Mt. Gox Founder)
>Theymos (Bitcoin Dev now employed by Core)
The filings look as if Craig is seeking to prove Mark had access to an Alert Key because he ran the largest exchange at the time, and had the power to temporarily halt the Bitcoin Mining infrastructure w/ a hard coded message saying there was an exchange hack and to omit certain uxtc's.

Why is this relevant? It proves the transfer of stolen coins via the alert key system, that Mark had access to the alert key system (who issued him the key? cant lie in court ;))

(2/2) If Mark had access to the alert key system, and was able to stop the largest hack in BTC history why didn't he?

Finally, this system was put into place to ensure bitcoin had a legal procedure that would allow international court systems to issue rulings directly to devs which would be sent to mining nodes/operators to remove the devs as the "deciding factor". "escrow", "arbitrator", etc and allow them to operate as a neutral entity.

If a court were to order the coins be returned by re-implementing the stripped code, all three projects would be forced to soft-fork to implement the code, and if they refused would be in contempt of court.

Now.. Here's the non-schizo take. At the very minimum Craig will:
>prove BTC does not meet international arbitration protocols and standards for remediation (results in an increase in regulation)
>receive a court order forcing the truth about Mt. Gox to come to light, Mark's testimony will be on file, and we will learn who issued him the alert key (arguably Admin access to the Bitcoin mining infrastructure)
>force the court to issue rulings on the legal pitfalls within "immutable" blockchains and related cryptocurrencies
>shine a light on how criminals are enabled to commit fraud, theft, money laundering AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE STRIPPING OF THE ALERT KEY CODE
>find out who authorized the removal of the alert key code
What happens if BTC (Core) and BCH (Cash) are given a court order to provide Craig access to these 100k coins? There are may implications but at face value beyond the Satoshi and Coin value impact -- what happens if BTC or BCH refuse to implement the Alert Key code? Then not only are the devs in contempt of court, but it also raises questions about why they would purposely omit a system that allows for retrieval of coins? If this happens, devs will arguably become more than "public project devs" and will have the legal ramifications imposed upon them for arbitrators, owners, etc

Craig MAY:
>settle with BSV who will implement the original version of Satoshi's alert key code and agree to re-assign the stolen coins to him (Craig + 100k BSV)
>be shown to be the individual who gave Mark access to the alert key system (which raises obvious questions)
>force BCH and or BTC to fork their project, which would remove the "immutable" selling point of "digital gold" which would be a blow to the project
>if the immediately above happens, Craig will gain leverage over both projects market wise as he would have 100k BTC / BCH to dump or play with at will
>recieve a court order legally assigning rights to the Blockchain database (collection of transactions)
>receive a court ruling on his copyright complaint which would entitle him to the BTC ticker (which is a small part of the filing but notable to mention)

High-tier Schizo take?
>Mark will confirm Craig has access to the alert keys and issued him theirs
>BTC Devs will be forced as a part of discovery to submit documents behind their decision to remove the only code / function that would allow Bitcoin (now BTC (Core)) to be in alignment with international remediation law
Remember in my above post where the team has publicly posted on Bitcoin.org that they were concerned about "unknown individuals" "abusing" the alert key system by political messages?
>these documents may show that the team was worried about Satoshi using the alert key system to broadcast his existence
>alert key is an entirely separate type of private key than a wallet key, but could be used to prove origin ownership/involvement
>force BTC / BCH to re-implement the ORIGINAL alert key code

"Alright anon, sounds interesting. But what's the most outlandish full blown retard not gonna happen scenario you can envision?"
>BSV settling with Craig provided precedent to the blockchain's ability to operate within the confines of international law on remediation
>BTC / BCH forced to fork the code in an effort to save their own asses from further litigation / contempt of court
>Craig broadcasts a message to all miners, because the origin code would be implemented proving to the world that he was behind the code which would all but guaranteed he is satoshi (next best thing to signing a block).
>Craig proves to the world and international law enforcement agencies that stolen coins can be "frozen" (gold turns to lead) and re-assigned to the proper wallets
>money launders mass panic and sell off their assets into coins such as XMR and other privacy coins outside BTC's ability to operate
>hundreds of thousands of stolen coins seized by law enforcement tanking the network's value to criminals and non-retail investors
>Craig now has 100k coins and case precedent to pursue re-issuing of the 1M Tulip Trust coins for his case occurring shortly after in Miami, Florida

ANY OF THESE EVENTS WOULD OCCUR OVER 2-3 YEARS DUE TO THE SLOW LEGAL SYSTEM IN THE UK.

The only scenarios I can near guaranteed will happen are here in the "very minimum" section:
>>30182282
Hope this helps provide clarity! Don't have to believe me, but just remember these posts when the case goes to court in September.

>> No.30182702

Will I be safe only holding BSV? Any chance BTC follows his demands, and Craig latches back on to BTC?

>> No.30183263

>>30182702
It's a potential reality but the more likely scenario is they fight tooth and nail to prevent the implementation of remediation protocols (ability to return stolen / hacked coins) while the world laser blames Craig for "why BTC is crashing" as old money and criminals exodus out of the coin, and once enough money has outflowed (neutering the market) they will re-implement the alert key system.

I wouldn't say you're "only safe" with BSV because market makers will try and take their losses out on the project's price.
>by the time any of this happens retail investors will have "woken up" to the history of BTC (Core) getting hijacked via sybil attack
>they'll also be aware BSV fulfills the Bitcoin whitepaper's vision / use case intent so who knows..
It's the best hedge possible though.
