we have discussed them a few times in the past. I love their properties, i ve wandered on some of them myself or know plenty of my old work mates who have over the years in that Stewart / Hyder territory. They had some underwelming core last year, but I know there is gold on their properties because there are fantastic creek placers flowing from them. The issue is figuring out which of the hundreds of showings is the source. They do have one flaw, their ground isnt all joined up, its cut up across 4 properties if i recall, their all close together but not one single unified property, which makes some investors ignore them.

Not necessarily. Due to the depth and breadth of the current bubble, I suspect a crash will take down practically every asset there is, including precious metals. However, grossly overpriced assets will stay down (or continue going down day after day, week after week) while reasonably priced and under priced assets will start rising relatively quickly once liquidity issues are somewhat sorted out.

It is the possibility of a nasty crash that everyone should have a reasonable pile of cash, as detestable as it is to hold in this environment. If a crash occurs, that cash gives you tremendous optionality as you can trade that crappy cash, which is suddenly in very high demand, for assets people are dumping out of fear, liquidity needs, or outright panic.

Silver has more upside potential in the current environment, meaning that if you put $1000 into either gold or silver, chances are you will make more money on the silver. On the other hand, gold is historically more resilient on the downside of the trade.
Personally I went 60% into gold, 40% into silver because I was more interested in keeping my wealth over substantially increasing it.
The case is there for why you'd go heavily into Silver now (GSR still > 60:1) is still there but it depends on your goals and how much you have to spend.

If less than $5000 into PMs I would get 1oz of gold and the rest in Silver, just in case.
I agree with keeping some cash on the side, but would be weary of the crypto market in case the government decides to start regulating it. If BTC takes a heavy blow so will other cryptos, that's just the reality of the matter.

In my original calculation, even if we assume that you are getting 1 troy pound (12 troy ounces) of 0.9999 fine silver, the price comes out to be $34/ounce. That's not a fantastic price at all.

I just did a scan of APMEX and they're selling 1 ozt silver bars for a little bit under $34/ounce. JM Bullion is pre-selling 10-ounce bars for $317.70 (31.77/ounce). If you buy from one of the big dealers, you don't have to worry too much about counterfeits.

its like any industrial sector, guys come and go all over the place. Mining especially is pretty transient, you move to where the work is, than move on when its done, very few stick around unless their retirement age. My shift boss has been everywhere from all over Europe, Asia, Russia, parts of Africa, south and central America for dozens of different mines and mine projects. It doesnt always work out though, there is for sure culture clash in a lot of projects, some places hard segregate too. Never seen that in Canada but apparently that happens a lot in Asia and south american mines.
