OP, protip, I'm about to make you some money. Delete that NFT, and then find one of those "artify" AI filter things, you know what I mean? One that'll take the image and make it look like a painting. You can then sell it for like 5x the price, not even joking

NFTs are a scam.

>> No.30084245

I can't wrap my head around this "art" NFT frenzy. You're buying ownership of a... token. Just a token, from a particular person... but that's it. That's all the value proposition is. Nothing about your ownership of that token gives you some unique access to that image.

It isn't a scam you fucking pajeet close minded retards.

What's the difference between owning the original painting of some artwork vs having copies of it?

Use your brains, this will be huge with the normans.

in game items have a context that makes them valuable; their scarcity or function within the game. art from famous artists has worth because the artists are famous, not because the art is actually good or "unique"

>What's the difference between owning the original painting of some artwork vs having copies of it?
The original is hand worked and textured by the painter's style you retard. It isn't just a flat sheet printout. There is no different between an original digital piece of art and a copy.
At the end of the day literally no one gives a shit that you have a digital stamp proving you were dumb enough to pay for a screenshot, nor will they give you the time to prove it because, again, no one gives a shit.
If you are in the industry to try and hustle on retards to make money then I can respect that, but if you seriously think NFTs are cool then consider the fact that you're an idiot.

>What's the difference between owning the original painting of some artwork vs having copies of it?
An original painting is say on a canvas, with layers of paint, the texture of the paint, the brush strokes, the layers, the story, the emotion, an artifact of the artist's mind, a physical, tangible, truly one of a kind. A copy of it is typically photographed and printed with a machine.

What is the difference between owning the original NFT art versus right-click-and-saving the image?

logan paul isn't famous for being an nft creator though. no one cares about ringo starrs paintings.

maybe i'm getting old but i can't see how "owning" a unique token is the same as owning an actual physical painting. real paintings need to be verified, maintained, insured against theft or damage, and only one can physically exist. copies are usually licensed by the owners and they make money from them. a poster of the mona lisa isn't the same as the actual mona lisa, but a copy of a jpeg is the same as the original jpeg.

there are tons of resources but a lot of the advice is the same. just start by spending 30-45 mins a day sketching shit. draw upside down images to learn how to ignore your bad habits, draw accurate skeletons to learn proper anatomy, find one of those websites of people posing in a lot of positions and work through those. also learn to draw hands accurately in a lot of different positions, that's a big problem for even established artists. a good grasp on anatomy and perspective is more important than developing a "style", you can learn that later. also do warm ups, literally spend a few minutes drawing spirals and random shapes before actually sketching something to get yourself ready. and this is important; don't draw with your wrist, keep your hand mostly straight and use your shoulder and elbow for movement. they're much bigger joints that are less prone to repetitive strain.

buy some pencils and notebooks, do all of the above plus whatever youtube or wherever else recommends for a few months. if you see improvement and can see yourself doing this long term, only then invest in digital equipment. then start the learning process over again, but now with a solid grasp of fundamentals. find an active, dedicated fandom and get involved. watch the show but also read the popular fanfic, learn the important or controversial ships, start developing your own ideas. it doesn't have to be ground-breaking, they usually just a focus on a specific pairing or an interesting enough "what if" scenario. if you can get the feel of the original's art style down while still drawing/writing something good, you'll get fans. if you get fans, you can get patreon subscribers and people willing to pay for commissions.
