NEEThood is only for those with the discipline to maintain structure in their life even when they're not forced to wake up at 7am every morning.
It's a dream come true if you have structure in your life, but it can turn into a nightmare if you just sit inside all day and allow all days to blend together.

Find group hobbies where you meet people 1-2 times per week (after covid). Take daily walks. Set aside 2-3 hours every single day for your personal projects/hobbies.

Yeah, even if I have just a week off I start feeling like shit when the days blend together and there's no routine. NEET can work if you have hobbies or other routine activities you enjoy (basically like retirement).

Being a NEET is a spectrum.
>Self-actualized NEETS
These are the ones that made it. Maybe they bought BTC and held from 2010. Maybe they won the lotto. Whatever the case, these people have met all their physical needs and have the financial means to tend to spiritual ones, be that by affording land to homestead, supplies to do a craft, or cash to relocate as they wish in relative comfort.
>Underemployed NEETS
These are the ones that are stressed out. They have the capacity to get by through savings or charity, but they are liberated from the rat race. They're dreading the return to the grind.
>Manchild NEETS
Truly the most miserable of all NEETs. The manchild is a living contradiction: One that only feels comfortable with the luxuries self-sustainance can provide, but one that finds himself incapable, socially, emotionally, or spiritually to accept the risks it must entail. These NEETs have no substancial financial holdings and are thus unfulfilled, as their desires are always constrained to the charity of their relatives or the government. Everything in their life is a compromise, and while they consider their time worth more than the pittance afford to wagies, they grow to realize all they've done is overvalued their own misery when they can't seek a path to fulfilment.

Btw I have been learning music theory and japanese vocab/grammar. Been making candlestick charts analysis website and writing melancholically happy songs about how things used to be good and fun, all the songs are meant for people in the 90s to 2000 era. I have been doing this consistently for months now. The more I browse biz, the more I hate my job, but I love working tho. Humans need to work.

>> No.29901278

It is.
You just need self-motivation to put work into what you love.
I'm a wagie, and I've got a pretty damn good job, great pay and conditions, WAY better than any job I expected to be in back when I was a depressed teenager who didn't care about anything.
But it's still wagie shit, I don't actually care about what I'm doing for 8 hours a day 5 days a week, I don't like most of the people I do it with, I have no energy to do anything when I do get home so I just play a few hours of videogames or watch a few hours of whatever on youtube or netflix, go to bed and wake up to do it all again, get home on friday, blink, and it's sunday night.
I don't drum anymore, I barely go out for anything but work anymore, my progress in fighting games completely stonewalled after I went full time because I just can't spend the insane hours on them as I used to.

Stay a neet as long as you can, just don't be a fuckwit and find things that genuinely make you happy.

>>29899191
Why?

I'm in the best shape of my entire life, don't have to worry one bit about money ever, do what I want to do every single day, perfect life. I even started making money from my music on the side which I just do for fun, it's great life is great

My favorite childhood cartoons were Grendizer and Captain Harlock. I remember getting on usenet at the end of 90s and reading things about earthquake weapons on alt.conspiracy (there was an earthquake in Turkey around that time and some were saying it was the USA's avantgarde weapons). When I was 17 I had an Urostukidoji poster in my bedroom. Shadowman is an amazing videogame. The RPG I loved the most was Ultima VII: Serpent's Isle.

I could go on and on but I've been able to be a NEET and not go mad because I was born lucky and didn't have to pay rent, also always had some pocket money so yes >>29900468 I leeched off parents but they nearly turned me into a full-blown psychopath, zero ragrets and I'm fucking happy their end of life is emotional misery, madness and pain.

>AFTER COVID
I can read, and you're naive.
The virus is supposedly still going strong 12+ months and the mainstream media is constantly making up stories about "new strains". There won't be an "after COVID". Bill Gates already told us there's another pandemic coming as soon as COVID is resolved.
Either way, these are shitty excuses for being a NEET that doesn't contribute to society or local taxes.

My father lives in a poor african country because he can get girls for 5 bucks a night. He's not a bad person, just a dumbfuck who turned into a piece of shit because of his well paying, upper-class, but 100% corrupt job.
I'm their only child and I haven't been speaking nor writing to them since I had a kid which made me realize, through my abnormal reactions of hatred and agressivity, there was simply madness and hatred running in our lineage.
Gave 300 stinkers to my ex tho, told her never to sell, and will probably buy them a nice house and land at the end of this cycle.

Hate my narcissistic parents too. Using me as a medium to tell to society that "HAH i am better than you! Look at how my son turn out". I really want them dead. Most parents dont know what the fuck they were doing.

Funny how schools can teach everyone about complex maths/science/language, but not finance, investing and parenting. Kek.

Let me discuss my financial ventures with you guys. Bought 2,000 GRT at $0.53 Bought another 2,000 GRT at $1.93. Bought 225 shares of AMC at $16.30 a pop. I started with $13,000 and in total, I've invested $9800. I have like $4k left in the bank. I'm never selling at a loss, but I feel so fucking stupid. I've fallen down this fucking rabbit hole. I hope in 5 years that my GRT will go to like $100, but there's literally no way to know. Feel free to call me retarded, but I know there are others like me out there. What should I even do at this point? I'm a NEET and I need to do something with my life. Been thinking about going to college (on loans). At least that'd pass the time and give me shit to do while the market does its thing.
