In the space of a month she's gone from the most hyped to the most questioned fund manager in the game.

I think Cathie is aware of what she's doing and there is some method to her madness, probably a lot of people who've invested with her don't understand her method though.

I'm a poker player and I've seen several very good players who play poker like Cathie plays the market. Extremely, extremely hyper aggressive, never taking your foot off the gas pedal, and just absolutely pounding chips into the middle at every opportunity. Their goal is to do one of either two things, either flame out completely and be the first person out of the game or to break literally everyone else at the table.

If Cathie is wrong and her picks crash then she's going to blow up her own fund, especially since during this latest dip she doubled down massively in a period where everyone else was risking off. If she's right, her fund returns enormous profits to such a degree that it will absolutely wreck every other fund as they get hammered by redemptions from people looking to invest with Cathie at the top again.

Investing with Cathie Wood is like backing Gus Hansen into a poker tournament. He's going to either bust out way, way out of the money or he's going to steamroll over everyone into the final table and then correctly call an all-in bet with ten high when it gets to heads up and win the entire thing. It's a binary outcome. Lose everything or win everything.
