Any mediocre con-man will notice all the classic tools of the trade being used:
Jargon - if someone explains something to you and you walk away feeling stupider, theres a reason for that and 9 times out of 10 it's not because you're stupid. Man got to where we are developmentally because we can think abstractly and describe complex concepts using basic ideas. People will drown you in jargon to make you feel stupid and stop you from asking questions or having doubts. Any respectable crypto product can explain things very well in layman's terms. You will not get any of that with Zenon.

Misdirection - ah 12723. The great mystery. What could it mean? Where did it come from? Is it a date? A number? It's nothing. It's a meme. It's a meme thought up to keep the door of possibility open in your mind and make you doubt yourself about selling/not buying. Ask yourself, what's the most data this number could be imparting. A date for the alphanet? A price prediction? The key to deciphering the cryptic square crypto tweet? Unless it comes direct from the team and square/jack how is that different from anyone else just speculating? Its wrapped up in a riddle to once again make you doubt yourself for not FOMOing in. Dont watch this hand, watch this one!

But anon theres no pre-minted ZNN! And the team actually even returned locked btc as well as giving out free ZNN to the people who set up pillars! So how could they dump on us? Theres no way this is a scam!

Well that sounds great except for the fact that you cant verify who any of these people are. In fact, even if you knew someone who did, you wouldnt know whether they're in on it because the dev team is anonymous! Theres nothing stopping them from pretending to take on the "risk" and then dumping these free ZNN on you. Its preminted; it just doesnt say it on the box.

If this project is as closely tied to BTC as they say it is, just buy BTC.

Why would you waste so much of your energy trying to discredit this? Look into the foundations the project has set in order to become what it is now. Updates have been more frequent and IMO has way more stature compared to most other coins.

Taking a risk? Sure. But that’s how we separate ourselves from people who will take a first glance and move on.
