Give it to me straight. I feel like since I and all my friends have jobs I am oblivious to how bad it really is out there. Is the economy recovering or not? Im in pharma manufacturing and we are hiring so it gets me confused when people are saying unemployment is going up.

How are computer science/software engineer jobs looking? STEM internships?

Very experience dependent. I am a data analyst and I get calls from recruiters about 5x per week average. I've been in my current role for about 3 years though. My friend's younger brother was a business analyst for only 6mo - 1yr on a temp contract and has not been able to get a job since covid lockdowns. I weep for new college grads dude, computer sci + software engineering looks to be consistently hiring but nobody is really looking to pay Interns and low level positions at my company right now for example.
