How do you deal with a financial loss?

I am considering giving up on investing and just taking the tax deduction for years and years and years for what I lost. Its basically 3k a year you can do and then move it onto the next year?

You learn from it. When I started I lost 5k instantly because I bought with leverage like a retard. Turned me away from investing for a few year, but eventually I came back.

I cry a little but then realize it's my ego. I don't make money to fill my ego.

I have reasons I need to make this money. If I lost a little but my reasons remain the same, I just tell myself to be more patient and to try again later.

I just dont dwell on it. I lost 300k in the last 48 hours and I'm not really phased. It might even go lower, in which case I'll give you an update but mostly its easier to just go about your life as if the loss didnt exist. Why do that to yourself?
