iExec is one of the most important projects in crypto.
iExec have made it possible to run legacy software built for x86-64 based operating systems on top of a blockchain. This means that legacy software can now have dapp benefits. No need to build from the ground up too, everything can be deployed through docker. That means that every single piece of software that you are currently running on your desktop could in theory become a dapp, and could also take advantage of the distributed cloud resources at the same time for extra computational juice.
In theory one could build a completely revolutionary OS using the iExec ecosystem as its backend. Not only would an OS that leverages the iExec ecosystem for computational power be incredibly secure because of its ability to decentralize and distribute workloads across workers, but it would also
be a highly scalable OS which would allow an individual to run highly intensive computational workloads on something as low powered as a 2 core machine.
ETH created a new kind of architecture for computing, but it's not backwards compatible with legacy software, and as people have said in the past, trying to run something like GTA V on ETH would be like trying to run GTA V on a Commodore 64.
LINK has been the golden child of the past year because it is the heart of DEFI, but DEFI is only one slice of the blockchain pie. The next step will be trying to integrate dapps with legacy systems/software. Stepping up the processing power of dapps so it's all no longer web3 browser based applications,
but instead native OS based applications. iExec will be the core for all this.

Came too late after RLC. There may be fancy staking, but there is no buy in from the industry and they do not have the expertise Gile's team does. Not to mention much less funding. Doomed to fail in the long run. Not only this, but RLC goes further beyond akash. The trustless executions alone make RLC the de facto ruler of the new decentralized cloud market place. With trustless executions, developers will have legal access to much more data that they had before to train AI.

What RLC can do
decentralized cloud, trusted executions, cloud resources (data sets, computing power, ...) marketplace, trusted doracles, tokenization & monetization of cloud assets (NFTs), ENS and it's FULLY COMPLIANT (French SEC approved, so basically EU approved, so basically USA approved, so basically Coinbase, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, ... approved)
