So the safest way to make a monero wallet is on an offline thinkpad running tails.

Where can I buy a librebooted/corebooted thinkpad that doesnt cost 600 euros?

Why not use your normal PC/laptop and boot it from a prepared Tails USB-Stick?

not the tits obviously, the t-shirt.
and you might want to check /g/ in the thinkpad general, also if you don't want to put the effort to coreboot (libreboot is kinda dead rn) be prepared to pay a higher price.

Reading the schizo wikis for monero, bitcoin, forums, boards, irc chats, and subreddits.

Monero people are actually convince using your regular PC could be compromised because of some CPU level backdoor or bios infection.

Then they go a step further and believe that frequencies from your online computer or other means or even sharing a usb from your regular computer could compromise your thinkpad.

Why does it matter how old the boot bios is. It's just getting rid of the intel bullshit, etc. takes know how and is time consuming.

intel management engine is real, same goes for amd.

bro unless you are a drug dealer or international slave smuggler or soemthign I don't think you will be targeted with cpu level backdoors for your 12 monero

cause the hardware support for libreboot/coreboot is pretty limited. but yeah i think the idea is getting rid of ME. there are partial fixes but they are expensive (purism, system76) the cheapest way to avoid proprietary blobs is old chinkpad + coreboot.

IT security fag here

> flash mobo firmware
> use live-boot program like KillDisk to nuke drive
> install Qubes
> use public wifi w/ Tor AND a VPN

Yes, it's installed... but Qubes isn't vulnerable to shit that Tails is. And as long as your not paranoid about a literal fucking nation-state actor getting physical possession of said laptop, you're better off than Tails

how did you know?

good luck with that when monero goes to zero or get delisted.

I have a librebooted T60 running parrot OS. Would there be any takers for $250, I'll throw in the tails USB

>> No.29418423

Don't fall for the shizo monero crap. It's definitely a great crypto but unfortunately it attracts a lot of paranoid people. And as other anons said, you can boot tails from a usb stick if you really want to.

>Goes to zero
Monero has replaced BTC in dark markets. It's not going to zero, and if it gets delisted, it'll still be getting used.
