The irs is a bludgeon for uppity goyim who make it big without paying the toll or knowing somebody. If you're still poor in the grand scheme nobody will care.

When they find you, and they will find you, you get taxed + penalties + thrown into federal prison
I've heard that the feds are easier than prison prisons, so at least you have that going for yourself

You'll get a letter in the mail saying you owe back taxes or are being audited for suspicious activities.
At this point you get a tax lawyer and give them everything to work with, and he'll tell the IRS to go fuck themselves on your behalf.
Worst case you pay some back taxes.

It's the same in Australia. I didn't do my tax return for 7 years and they calculated I owed $45,000 dollerydoos based off my old employment. It took them 7 years to finally call me and politely ask me to sort it.

Bottom line is, there are people who owe the government hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars in taxes. Unless you bought Bitcoin when it was $1 and decide to dump tomorrow no one will care.

They were times the government killed its own citizens very publicly, but that was ATF not IRS.

If the federal government wants to do something they will. The IRS is a lot more surgical and good at their jobs than the ATF.
