I don't get it. BitBean has literally no purpose. The only reason anyone would buy this coin is because they think it will be worth more money later. The only thing it has going for it is a dedicated shill team.

Their strategy is riding the wave of BTC's success by attempting to associate BITB with BTC as its "little brother." That vaporous strategy is long gone for Bitbean, they failed, other coins are doing better at that (BCC, BCH).

Great, thanks for sharing

I have a few more questions.

Does that instance of linux have a gui?

Or were you able to install and stake your bitbean wallet just through the command line?

Also did downloading and syncing with the chain exceed your bandwidth quota?

Im sure just keeping it open shouldnt be too much of a problem, atleast bandwidth wise.

The bitbean wallet requires a GUI, so I'm using ubuntu with a barebones X11 + fluxbox wm. If you're less comfortable with these things you can just install a full gnome desktop.

I used a blockchain snapshot from cryptochainer.com for the initial sync. That way I only had to sync the last couple of days. Setup took maybe 1 hour total.

This coin is an utter scam, I deeply regret shilling for this in the past.

>the POS system on their website is going to be run by a separate company
>no roadmap or goals
>Tons of people saying sprouting just doesn't work for small amount of coins, and I couldn't sprout with 50k beans, despite having the wallet open on a separate computer for 3 weeks.
>porcfest was an absolute joke, and the devs deleted a video with a 'prototype' of their POS, which was just a fucking off the shelf BTC pos.
>Devs don't answer questions "BRB I HAVE TO TAKE MY KIDS SWIMMING AT 10p.m.!"
>Devs talk in a seperate chat and have very poor english
>The coin was a scam in the past with nokat, and the 'community' stopped it. The issue is there is no fucking community and only 2 people involved on the community 'stoped it'. Whole thing reeked of a false flag.

Stay away from this coin. The memes were perfect. I thought this coin was perfect.
