Oh hi, anon. Any of you officially live off of dividends/interest bearing accounts? If so, what's your setup? Do you find it sustainable? My stock portfolio is fairly diverse, but I have been putting more and more into high paying dividend stocks (e.g., GLAD, O, OXSQ) and currently pull around $300 a month. I've also recently put a bitcoin and USDcoin into BlockFi for that 6% and 8% respectively. Any advice for those who have made it? How much did you have to put in initially to make it? What are your preferred holdings?

I live off of dangerous gambles, scam investments, and a future of financial ruination or unholy greed to satisfy my desired lifestyle. If you acquire financial stability, it means you aren't trying hard enough.

Goal is to make enough passively so I don't have to work, but can if I want to. With any extra cash thrown into riskier investments.

Bumping for interest. I don't have enough capital in order to do it, I think you would need at least 250k?

Übermensch detected.

That seems roughly correct. Dropping 250k into higher risk dividend stocks or crypto interest accounts would get you something like $2k-$3k a month. With that, you can pay off the basic bills and necessities to live all while working a part-time gig for fun money. Depending on your location of course.

I have $350k rn but thought I had to wait to 1 million. What crypto interest accounts do you speak of and how much risk?

How are coin stake rewards even taxed? Are they considered 100% profit?

Check out BlockFi or Celsius. Celsius appears to pay out the most on more types of crypto. They seem moderately safe, but still do your own due diligence.

Yeah I started with under $1000, in this market I'm just over 10k in profits when you take out gas fees and whatever. I'm planning on just taking 5k off my profits and putting it in an AMM in a stablecoin for a while. The interest won't be make it levels but it should be pretty safe there.
We're supposed to get a cash bonus at work pretty soon because they had to pause raises and benefits last year because of the coof. I just opened a Fidelity account and when that comes in I'm researching dividend stocks right now. I will put that bonus there.
I figure if I play my cards right I can basically just keep reinvesting my profits and dividends for a while. I'll add capital to both over the next few years until I hit make it levels. I'll probably keep less than 10% of my portfolio invested in shitcoin potentials for now but I'm prepared to aggressively take profits off of those. At least that's my poorfag to make it strategy.

Seconding this. Even though it's not entirely passive, the amount you make vs divvies is much better.

Doesn't sound like an awful plan. At least you're still working. Multiple sources of income

I need to start learning more about options. I've been more on the "buy and hold" part of investing, but should put a bit more effort into it.

Yeah I figure I can make it over a few years playing it relatively safe and then if one of my shitcoins takes off I can always bag that profit and reinvest it and go a little faster. It seems like you can't lose doing that unless literally everything crashes and in that case we're all fucked anyway.

That's been my strategy somewhat too. I have a good level of investments in safe, moderate, and risky. Risky being in a few penny stocks that there speculated to hit it big and a few of the newer cryptos on Coinbase that usually 3x after a month of them being placed on the platform.

celsius offers 12.5% for USDC. that's my plan for if i ever make a couple million, just put like 500k in there and diversify the rest. if celsius were to pull the rug i wouldn't be financially obliterated

between these I'm making 40k a year at current crypto prices. if we 10x from here, then I won't have to work.

I originally put my USDC into BlockFi. I'll just leave what I have in there. But from now, putting more into Celsius. I trust/like BlockFi better though.
