If you get a margin call, your broker will try to contact you by telephone usually. If you don't answer, within about 30 minutes they'll usually liquidate some of your holdings to get your account back in the green. Depending on how volatile the market happens to be, like a worst case scenario where everything is plunging like in March they will liquidate you much faster. If it's just a regular day, they might give you to the end of the day to come up with money usually through a wire. You really want to avoid a margin call, anon

I know you have to have an account balance over $25,000 at the end of every trading day to be able to day trade, but I've found two places that said you need to trade on margin, and two places say you don't.
Are there any other things I need to know about this?
I've been doing my 3-4 trades every 5 days for about 6 months, I started with $15,000 and I now have $27,000 and want to start doing more regular trading.

Palantir's technology is basically political agnostic. It's as equally attractive to a fascist as it would be to a communist. That both ensures the company will be successful under any political conditions and gives the company a lot of value.

It's the same kind of thing as the Palantir from the LOTR books that it takes it's name from. It could be used both for good or evil purposes. But it got built anyways and is very valuable.

What the fuck even is the bear case against Palantir? "Reddit bought the stock" isn't an actual thesis. I've looked for them and they're all very weak.

The only possible bear case is the economy cools off and there's an over supply. Semiconductor manufacturing is extremely capital intensive so if product starts stacking up it's really bad news for the financials of said manufacturers. With worldwide stimulus and the enormous demand from people staying at home, as well as new infrastructure being built out to accomodate remote everything, I don't see an oversupply on the horizon. I think semis are well positioned to pump at least the next 2 years which should give us 5x gains after the split.
Of course I'd say that since I have 4 digits worth of SOXL shares in my stack and will be well into the 5 digits after the split

For every share you own you will receive 15 shares in exchange. Each share you get will be 1/15 the value of the original share. I'm long term more bullish on semiconductors than anything else but you've probably noticed in the short and medium term the market goes up and down quite unpredictably and this will continue. As a general rule if the S&P goes up 1%, SOXL goes up around 5%. So when the market makes a big move up or down SOXL's move will be huge. If you can handle the big drops you stand to make excellent gains in the long term but if you can't handle a 50% draw down from time to time and think you might likely sell, 3x leveraged ETFs may not be for you. Not trying to be condescending but you really have to be ready for that to be successful with these things

You'd be better off buying TAIL calls. You get the downside protection from black swan events and in normal times the price doesn't just march down to the center of the earth like inverse and volatility based ETFs

Set a 200 day moving average line on SOXX (SOXL underlying) and when the price goes underneath it sell out of SOXL. The biggest enemy of 3x leveraged ETFs is high volatility markets and the biggest predictor of a down turn and high volatility is when your underlying goes under that 200. At that point SOXL will be getting killed so should you sell out at e.g. $200 the volatility decay inherent in 3x ETFs will be dragging the price of SOXL to the ground so by the time SOXX gets back above its 200 day average and you get back into SOXL, the price of SOXL will be much lower than when you got out so you'll end up in a better position with a lot more shares and you never have to worry about getting cucked by some kind of extended decade long bear market. Hope that's clear. I'm tired and need to go to bed.
