13Fs are misleading. They have to be filed quarterly, so they could have been updates on acquisitions made over a month ago. However, Form 13Gs, when filed by passive investors with an ownership exceeding 5%, must be filed within 10 days of acquisition. According to Fintel, these positions were all retained, increased, and/or acquired between 2/12 and 2/16, making the earliest date of acquisition 2/2-2/6, well after the spike in price (while it was trending downwards in the $90-60 range). I'm not saying the 13Fs aren't relevant, just that the 13Gs give us a better picture of the timeline. There's two institutions with over a trillion dollars in portfolio value (State Street Corp with 1.3 trillion and Maverick Capital with 6 trillion) that either held through that spike or increased their positions to over 5% ownership following said spike. This doesn't count for the others that fit the timeline, most of which are in the hundreds of billions in terms of portfolio value. For reference, Melvin is 25 billion and Citadel is something like 300 billion. Also note that Vanguard and Fidelity (specifically FDMLX - Fidelity Series Intrinsic Opportunities Fund), both trillion dollar firms as well, filed 13Gs on 2/10, putting their earliest date of acquisition, retainment, and/or increase at 1/31. Since this was a Sunday (and the ten day deadline isn't ten trading days), we can assume that the earliest date is 2/1, closer to the spike than the other firms, but still considerably after the peak. Also note that there is no sign firms like BlackRock and Must Asset Management have sold, it's just that they filed their 13Gs in a timeline that might potentially preclude the spike, so I don't want to make any misleading assumptions. Institutional ownership (accounting for institutions, insiders, and funds) is still at ~200%, with these bodies owning something like 150 million shares while the share float is only 69 million.

Tldr: follow the money, that's all I can say.

It's annoying that they can pretty much admit that halting trades was wrong but yet nothing will happen, like at best it'll be some sort of fine that would have been much less than the losses they'd have if they didn't halt trading.

It's also annoying that even in Australia, trading was halted. I wasn't even part of this RobinHood bull shit but yet I was still affected.

1. He admits that the price spike was due to calls and retail buying and not shorts closing (aka the squeeze)

i noticed that too, confirms our suspicions about how most shorts did not really cover. it's possible Melvin covered a portion but it's more than likely that they also doubled down on their shorts on the way down. most shorts on the way down were not at the peak as most shills claim, but rather $150 and under.

Because legally you have to returned what you borrowed, or else you've simply stolen a security. Thus, it's actually critical for current holders to sell because the original holders are entitled to receive their stocks back and must be paid interest in the meantime. This is also why you'll get margin called as a little guy when you cant close instead of walking off into the sunset with free money.

Court hearing or no court hearing the hedgies will not allow themselves to go bankrupt, the system is just too fundamentally broken for us retail shit munchers to win. This victory is predicated on hedgies losing, which they won't

Is it because it's stressful? Do you not like a challenge, a rush?
Like, i get wanting to be safe but come on, even 1000$ worth would be a sizeable investment.
I would buy in at 39.99 if it sticks at that price, only due to what it means for the stock overall.
The lower it dips, the more insane the jump up is going to be if and when it happens.
It's simple mathmatics as to why the squeeze is impending.
The problem is, and always was, "Will melvin somehow slip the noose", despite all the math pointing to a horrific loss for him to come?

Did you read what I said? That would be the case for 13Fs, but I'm going off of the 13Gs, which are required to be filed within 10 days of acquisition for passive investors with over 5% ownership, something all these firms qualify as. >Total estimated Short positions (synth + reported shorts)

He got 219,091,451 by doing 183552827 + 35,538,624, second value being reported shorts, and the first value being the Estimated Synthetic shares which is 253,299,787 - 69,746,960 (Total owned - Total Outstanding).
The values are a bit outdated already and it seems fund ownership has gone from 40,000,000 to 24,367,091 and institutions from 151,000,000 to 141,857,291 by using his source http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/MarketData/EquityOptions/detail.jsp?query=126%3A0P000002CH&sdkVersion=2.58.0
In what way could these values be incorrect, because honestly only the institutional ownership being 203% of total shares is enough to be retarded.
Disregard the AI price modeling though, which I believe is inaccurate as someone who does AI for a living.

There's no incentive for anyone still holding at this point to sell. I'm not sure why anyone in this thread who actually has GME stock would bother too. Either you're a smart enough investor to have more to your name than just GME, making this a drop in the bucket, or GME and AMC are the only stocks you hold and they've lost anywhere between 60 and80 percent of their value since the purchase, meaning if it was money that you could spare there's no reason to pull it out of the market, and if it was money you couldn't spare then there's even less incentive to pull it out of the market because any losses incurred by this point already completely destroyed you.

it depends. each investor needs to review the financials and try to decide on a price target. based on their potential earnings how much is gamestop worth? most analysts had them at $5-$10 at the end of 2020. burry got out in the $20s~. from an intrinsic value perspective you're looking at a $15 stock. anything above would have to be attributed to turn around efforts which as a brick and mortar physical media store, wouldn't be much. sometimes c-levels turn things around but in situations like this you're much more likely to end up in a situation like sears where they clean out the vault. interestingly enough most of the people who bought this due to fomo would have laughed at you if you had recommended investing in gamestop in early 2020.

People are instinctive, subconscious creatures.
If we feel something is wrong, you are normally right about it, unless you are literally an oblivious idiot.
People /know/ when something is finished.
Like with the trump/biden horseshit, unless something happens march 3-4 when marlargo has mysteriously doubled their rate for some mysterious "Event", people knew it was over when inaug happened.
Meanwhile there is no inaug event capping off this saga, nothing that for sure says "This is over".
In poker you have multiple hands when you are playing for all the chips, logic dictates we've not reached the final hand, because both of the largest players at the table keep upping their ante.
The hedgies are playing financial chicken.
If you can't see it you are blind.

So if I do a recap of hearing:
-Melvin looks like shit and depressed in some side odfice or garage
-Citadel is using deepfake AI bots to communicate online
-Tenev is just talking shit and repeating himself
- DPV just liked the share and bought it
- Ceo reddit likes to lick balls to kikes and doesn’t know he will be thrown under the bus. Lying about no bots and reddit safe place and shit..

It looks like the 4 guys and linked very close and are working together.

I hope DB does what our boi Adi wanted to do: a fucking financial holocaust to those kikes.

Do you guys think they’ll come and fuck with them? Only yes or no.

lol yeah, thats always true. but watching the whole event kind of demoralized me. the circuit breakers, the RH stopping purchasing, complete lack of transparency on shit like the short information (which makes it almost seem like a complete guess which punishes retail), after hours stuff, all that shit i had no idea about since it was my first entry into stocks. i put the remainder of my "stock market funds" (from like 1300 down to 700 kek) into some bollywood streaming stock and just gonna leave it there and stick with crypto. too much craziness in normal stocks that isn't for me. crypto is at least transparent in how it functions

Aqua would probably buy at highest possible peak and sold at lowest price after that.
Akai Haato would buy and forget about it, when her meme sell limit goes off she will pretend it was her plan all along.
Matsuri would hold on to the stock like he hangs on to her love for Hoshikawa.
Ayame would buy and hold just to shit on kikes.
Noel would rage and sell after the second drop from $70.
Mio, Okayu Korone and Watame are just chilling and holding.
Towa would buy from peer pressure from kaigainiki and forget about it.
Shion would buy, hold, sleep through when it moons and miss the opportunity, together with Marine.

To close: I actually do think Melvin is out. His Put volume that is no longer seen on the option chain, and his cash infusion both point to that happening. I do think others are fighting to finally dig themselves out of this hole, and tomorrow is their last chance... and I think they've been digging themselves deeper to try to make that happen.

460,000 shares are up for Call assignment if it stays above $40 tomorrow, and 1,370,000 Put shares don't get delivered if it stays above $40 tomorrow. That's $72,000,000 in shares that are being fought over just at the $40 mark...

(Another 1,200,000 put shares deliver under $48, and another 1,300,000 deliver under $50)

What I don't understand though... GME hit $48 during DFVs opening statement, and then we got hit with 4,000,000 short sale orders over the course of the rest of the day (finra).

Who shorts $160,000,000 to secure $72,000,000 in options? Interest on shorts rose from 1.08% Tuesday to 1.35% today. They've been adding more shorts by the day. Why are they shorting it so hard right after a mini-squeeze just happened and they know we aren't selling?

Open interest for $40 Puts on 2/26/21 drops off a cliff to 2,600 open contracts. There is something very special about this weeks options, but I don't have the entire picture of what or why yet...

(2 week delays in reporting are garbage for knowing the market today...)

Unless they know the shares aren't really there on the market to buy...

Oh, in other news, Jane Street just reported owning 1,500,000 in GME call shares and 1,070,000 in Put shares...

Jane Street Capital was the market maker that helped save the bond ETFs last year during the crash. When they step in to a large position, there's often a reason behind it.

I don't think this story is done being written yet...

I'm starting to think that those options are the last chance to get shares out of a dry pool...
