Any other anons travel for work? I am being offered a job that is about 1 week of travel out if the month, and working from home the rest of the time and I'm afraid to take it. I'm 27 and due to marry my gf soon and it seems like it could make life hard

Don't do it. Fuck that. Find a job that lets you work from home.

I dont really have a lot of options

I know it is. I'd really rather fucking not but its basically travel for work and work from home to stay in the small town im from or move to a bigger city for a better job. There isn't a lot of opportunity where I'm at

I do it, I'm sometimes home 1 weekend of the month, shit sucks

This wouldn't be that bad. Maybe 2-3, days a month

That's not a problem at all anon. Take the job. If you're worried about the impact on your relationship, work in the evenings, etc, whilst you're away so you have more time when you're back.

Honestly though, I think it'll be a good thing. As long as you have a strong relationship, a little bit of time apart is not an issue at all, and probably quite a nice opportunity to have a little alone time, do stuff that you don't normally do around your partner (videogames, 4chan, whatever).

its never worth it because while youre traveling youre basically always working or always feel like you're working. it sucks. you just delete small chunks of your life to make your company look good

>Used to travel for work in heavy construction.
>Great money, gone for months at a time sometimes.
>Some guys I talked with were on their 4th and 5th marriages (some morons can't seem to put 2 and 2 together).
If it's only a week per month, it probably won't be that bad desu, but definitely go into the job with an exit plan, especially if the home life starts to suffer.

I travel so much that I only have 4 days a month at home. I have a wife and two kids.
My time away is a real problem. 1 week a month is actually a nice break from eachother and will make your relationship easier to manage.
