The issue with all "green techs" is that they are terrible in freak incidents where peak power spikes. They dont scale up or down very easy like fossil fuel based generators. Because wind turbines are frozen, that puts more pressure on the other reactors to pick up the slack - rapid upswings in activity causes mechanical issues - leads to brownouts. Texas has its own complete grid which leads to this downside as well (it benefits them at other times)
