It's a bit complicated. Mathematically you're always better off buying right now because the market goes up a lot more than it goes down. The only time you shouldn't buy right now is if you know a crash is coming. The only problem is you don't actually know so if you predict it it's because you got lucky. However, psychologically you're better off buying on a big dip cuz if you buy SOXL now and it drops 50% (not unlikely if you look at the chart) then you might sell the bottom so you would have been better off waiting. The only one who knows the answer to this conundrum is you. Personally I'm balls deep in SOXL and I'm happy about it.

Well, splits don't really affect ETFs quite the same as stocks. You don't get that retail frenzy pump especially with leveraged ETFs like SOXL seeing as it's basically a derivative of a derivative. Its value is based on the underlying stuff like NVDA, TSM, INTC, etc. and nobody's really gonna buy those cuz the twice removed ETF split. We might get some more volume and tighter spreads though. That I'm looking forward to
