I'm still new to this. I think the fastest way to buy alt coins is buying either BTC (slow), ETH (fast), LTC (faster) on GDAX with credit card then sending it to an exchange to buy your altcoin. For Bittrex, you'll have to resell your LTC back to BTC in order to buy your altcoin.
