I'm 25, $360k net worth, just left my job.

I can't stand waging anymore, gonna work on a few companies and hope that the coming bull run will take me to $1m, hopefully beyond by August.

Stupid? Maybe... but I can't stand it there anymore. I don't live a crazy expensive life (monthly expenses are like $2k) and I can float on my portfolio for awhile if I need to. I just can't stand another day at this job. Even though it's remote and /comfy/ it makes me literally want to die

Wish I was in your position. Having a wife and three kids means my monthly expenditures are high and I don't have enough saved or invested to last more than a few months.

Godspeed and keep us updated on what you learn

Yeah I'm not having kids. If I were you I'd get as many rentals as possible to offset those monthly expenses

Just get a margin account of $moon etf and live off the gains.

I was a software developer / business analyst. I've wanted to start my own company for awhile now (and have in the past). I feel like my past failures are only failures because I didn't have the time or energy I needed to make them successful.

I didn't hate the people I worked with but the job itself became too tedious.

>>28879328
I went to school for a degree in software and I focused on learning crypto dev in my free time. Then, I did freelance shitcoin development as a second job for a year. Got a little lucky, made like ~$60k. Dumped it in ETH.

I also bought 2 houses, one I rent out and it pays for the other.

Take some time off. focus on projects, maybe short term contracting work. bullshit to fall back on later. You can always come back later if you want.

You're 25. Your professional life has only just begun, and everything you do will give you more and more skills to help you in the future.

how much would I need to put up for a strat like this? I need roughly $2k a month of gains. I looked up the ETF and I'm interested but I haven't done margin before

I appreciate the sentiment. I might take a little time off but I do have a few time-sensitive options that I might take, some equity at a smaller company and/or some potential VC funding.

I am in a similar position, 275k net worth at 24. Also a software dev like you and also wanna die every day because of it even though I'm remote because of the corona meme so it's comfy. Also about to quit and just live off my savings. What is it with software that makes us want to die so much, it's fucking horrible even with the perks and I can't figure out why.

It's because it's extremely mentally draining. I've found my creativity and passion has died because my brain has to work in overdrive during working hours, and I can tell it's "overdrive" because half the people I work with are so... damn... slow... with everything they do. It's maddening, the only way I can relax now is with CBD.
You're in a good spot too man, if you can stick it out for a little longer and put a lot into crypto you should make it too. But if you can't, well there's your answer I guess.

>>28882654
I felt this way too until I remembered literally standing on my company's roof last year around this time and seriously considering ending my life. Made me realize it wasn't worth working in a job I hate if it makes me feel that way, and have been working on this exit strat ever since. If it wasn't for my rental this wouldn't be possible for me.

>>28882720
I theoretically could get it down to $800 if I paid off all my loans but I'm gonna let it float a bit high because I don't want to liquidate my crypto right before a bull run
