>GRT is needed as a currency to incentivized running indexing servers that process queries for dapps.
>Data is exists in the blockchain in an unorganized fashion
>Dapp developers want to access this data
>Pre GRT they had to download the entire blockchain and then perform a linear search
>This problem becomes exponentially more complex if you want to join data.
>Say the difference between finding all men, all people age 40, or all people named John. Versus finding all people named John that are 40. The first example is hard enough, the latter would take ages
>GRT indexes the entire blockchain using what are called indexers (people with servers resources)
>They create queryable API that allow dapp developers to just focus on their dapp instead of creating a database
>Running servers isn't free
>Indexers get rewarded with GRT for hosting their servers as well as for processing queries
>Delegators signal to the network that an indexer can be trusted by staking GRT to that indexer

Right, but you keep saying dapps will query the graph.

What dapp would query? And for what? To see 1 transaction? You can literally ctrl-f on the blockexplorer. Because each transaction on the chain is unique, there is no chance of finding an incorrect transaction. But anyway, why would a dapp need to query a block chain in the first place lol.

Those who got in early are still laughing at their 5x

Those who got in later need to stop fucking swinging. If you're not prepared to hold a 3 month old project then you never should have bought in the first place.

There was a post from some canadian guy where he bought in december, set his target exit price and never checked the charts and just HODL'd. I think he exited at 2.7

Historically, GRT is a pump and dump. Hate to break it to you folks, but it is. These are the facts. People saying it isn't, you're on the wrong side of the data. The entire market is being run by trade bots. Large GRT tokens have been already allocated to holders, way before GRT even hit the exchange platforms, because of testnet operations (before mainnet).

I estimate each token to be valued at 0.30-0.35 maximum until larger companies want to use it, which currently they don't, because it is too expensive too. ETH is expensive, in general, to use anyway.

With that being said, GRT is a utility token which means the price has to remain low for companies to even want to use it. It is just the way it is right now.

You're thinking too small. I'll answer you since I actually originally wrote that pasta. Dapps can write more useful information to the chain then just price information and a transaction ID. Think of it like a Twitter clone dapp. Each block could be a message sent. The message has the following fields
>User id
>Timestamp
>Message text
>Thread I'd
>Post Id
You can then create a dapp that runs this twitter app by making queries to this data.
>Give me all of the posts created recently based on timestamp.
>Give me all posts by this userid
>Give me all posts in this thread
>Given a post id use a smart contract to "like" that post using the post id and user id as foreign keys
>Using that likes are being written to the chain and are now queryable, give me all posts written in the last few days like by a user with a specific id
You can't do any of that right now with a block scanner. You need to think bigger.

Soon honestly. I would make it but I feel that the costs to get things off the ground are still too high. That and the kind of people into the crypto space aren't really the social media type. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand The Graph. The technology is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical indexing most of the graphs will go over a typical retard's head. There's also Yaniv's jewish outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Satoshi-Vitalik literature, for instance. The bagholders understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these delegations, to realize that they're not just needed - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike The Graph truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the bull signal in Yaniv's existencial catchphrase "Google of blockchain, motherfuckers" which itself is a cryptic reference to Sergey's Russian epic Pump and Dump I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tal's genius unfolds itself on their binance screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a GRT tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 GRT of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Well that's the problem. Monetizing 4chan is hard enough for hiromoot. I'm almost certain 4chan is only kept alive by black budget grants from the feds that find it convenient that school shooters go to /b/ to say what they're gonna do. If you made a platform where anything goes, you'll never find ad vendors willing to pay for ad space on your site. So how do you go about generating revenue on what is free at the point of service? Also have to consider DNS hosting which is still centralized.

10 cents per view literally doesn't exist. You'll maybe get a couple dollars per thousand impressions. That's a fraction of a cent per impression. Queries usually run on the order of a few cents per hundred thousand. It's not enough to just break even. You need to be able to consistently turn a profit. You wouldn't want to run queries against a file storage system where you'll be iterating over the same info multiple times for the same user. Since you're only gonna get about half a cent per user you can't use any more resources than that.
