Ok, I know the ineptitude of modern journalism is abysmal, but how is it SO difficult to find detailed reporting on how this newest $1.9 Trillion stimulus package is being allocated? I can’t find a single transparent analysis ANYWHERE regarding this proposed funding, where it’s going and why. The only thing anyone seems to be interested in discussing is the $1400 direct relief payments. Nothing on where the other $1.66 Trillion is going. Why is that?

Keep in mind, citizens are only eligible for the $1400 payment if their income is $75k or less.

Here’s a quick breakdown showing this accounts for only 12.9% of the proposed $1.9 Trillion:
>2020 USA citizen population: ~331 Million citizens
>Proportion earning $75k or less: ~53% = ~175 Million citizens (true number probably less, as this doesn’t take into account working versus non-working citizens)
>$1400 x 175 Million = $245 Billion in direct relief payment funding
>$245 Billion / $1.9 Trillion = 12.9%
>Proportion of non-direct payment funding = 87.1%
>87.1% of $1.9 Trillion = ~1.7 Trillion

So, where the hell is this remaining 1.7 Trillion going, and to what end? What is the justification?
