The old-school way is to earn fucktons of top level div stocks. But the operative word here is 'fuckton'.

For example, Apple's dividend last month was about 20 cents per share. Their share price is 135 dollars so you can see the issue here if you wanted to even make 20 dollars from dividends (before tax).
