Is it just me or it's actually a pipedream? Look at the current node operators, they're mostly professional players like
>T-Systems
>Huobi
>Fiews
>Kyber
>VC nodes

even LinkPool is professional as fuck as something started as a community project.
How can a NEET node even compete? How can we get the data they have access to? No one is going to use our node even if we set up one, all we have is some laughable amount of stinkie that we can't really put to work. What's the prospect here?

the plan was always to sell at 30 anon

Do you think Chainlink is a joke, anon? Do you think you can literally put in no effort and make money, anon? If you want to be a node operator then step up and put in the effort to securely provide data to blockchains you piece of shit scumbag.

wait for OCR

I actually spun up a node feeding in data from Alpha Vantage. Then I realized I was paying Google Cloud to host my node that no one was going to use, to get data from a centralized source. So I said fuck it and turned it off.

To answer your question, OP. No. There is no place for NEET nodes. Maybe to tell what the weather speed is in Ft. Lauderdale or some shit.

they will need more LINK for bigger jobs, and will build ability to stake out LINK with a bigger guy and NEET node

what's OCR and how can it change things for us?
https://data.chain.link/eth-usd-ocr is down

I know it shouldn't be easy but NEET node was a dominant narrative in 2018, just to check the reality here.
If there's only a few dozens of nodes then I doubt many people can stake to earn yield.

so it's all for big players?

I already sold at $31. This push upwards wasn't created by lack of supply the likes of which will/ if ever/ occur from neet nodes. The entire system is still far too centralized, and I think the efforts to create an entirely decentralized system where anyone can stake with any amount on any hardware is just quite a bit further out than what people realize. I'm not here to fud, I'm just saying that this is a 5 year hold, not a get rich quick by buying the top which was caused by fomo created by a chainlink tweet about a literal who adoption
