Weird, I only see Grayscale and Federal Reserve papers talking about DeFi on Ethereum.
Curious, do any other smart contract platforms have any DeFi ecosystems?

Oh, right, it's all built on Ethereum.

Sort out your gas prices and we’ll talk.

Unironically the only good things about ETH-killers are that they are good for killing time with mid-term pumps, moving back to ETH after the bullrun ends

Gas prices are arguably already solved with Arbitrum and will be released to the public in a few weeks. Even if Uniswap alone swaps, you'll see a 2x reduction in fees, and this isn't counting the scores of projects that will eventually move along as well.
On top of that, the projected time for ETH 1.5 is probably within the next two years or so
I dare you to even entertain the idea that another project will build a DeFi ecosystem as trusted as Ethereum's in the next two years.

Like having the gall to say your version of Facebook will "let the tech speak for itself"- you lost. Facebook and Google own the space. Bitcoin and Ethereum own the space. Nobody cares about your Vimeo.
