I've handled PNK pretty well but it still hurts due to my faith in Vishnu and this project being so strong yet hit hard in in this downturn.

I took profits in the good days and bought up more when I was sad, I am still buying the dips but each purchase give less joy.

I have faith and I hope to see others whom share my view.

Longterm though Kleros will kill all copycats, just as it did ANJ last year. I still don’t believe it has any real competition. PAID is a copycat claiming to have created “DeLa” or decentralised law. My opinion is by the time Kleros even thinks about taking off a whole new wave of proof of humanity esque competitors will pop up with better design/team on some ready to go layer 2 and I can always get back on the ride like nothing stopped.

Holding Kleros has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. The market is retarded. Scams are doing 100% a day. Rugpulls left, right and centre. Chainlink partnering with a scammer who copy+pasted Kleros's idea, doesn't even have a product or a team beyond marketers, and watching that scam go 100x.

I'm just going to walk away from crypto for a while. Either the entire market tanks and most altcoins go to 0, eth does another -95%, and kleros crabs as a 5-10c stablecoin (recovering in sats and eth) or this irrational market just moons forever and Kleros finally catches up in a year or two. It just can't be possible that these scams last another few months and that absolute shitcoins can go parabolic forever.

I'm actually going to continue this post. Kleros is not a scam. You use it to get ETH. You provide a function, by inputting information onto smart contracts, and you get rewarded in ETH, not PNK, for doing so. The value of PNK is completely standalone - it is not a ponzi, the only fundamental value it has is how much ETH it can get you.

Let's look at the shitcoins which are mooning right now. They all share a very different way of getting returns. The reason is they pay the returns out in their own token, from value which does not exist beyond new buyers. This is a barely concealed ponzi scheme. Let's use the examples of LIT, AVAX, and SXP.

In hindsight everyone will admit LIT was a scam. It ran a blockchain in which people bought LIT with ETH, staked it for x amount of months, and recieved x amount of LIT in return. The only thing that gave LIT value was how many ETH you could get for your LIT. And that was entirely financed by new buyers. People would trade 10 ETH for 10k LIT, stake it for a year, and when the founder cashed out all his LIT for ETH, it didn't matter if you have 100k LIT and would receive 100k more in staking rewards. The LIT was worthless. 200k x $0 is the same as $100k x 0.

AVAX is the exact same thing on a much bigger scale. It is a chain without users that pays rewards in AVAX. You give your money, it gives you the token, you stake the token, you eventually get more AVAX. But the value of that future AVAX is entirely dependant on future buyers who lock up their AVAX. At some point, the buyers run out.

SXP is the same but a card with "kickbacks". You buy 10k SXP and they give you a crypto card. You spend money on the card and they 'reward' you with crypto. I believe you can choose whatever crypto you want like BTC or ETH. How do they finance giving you that? With the very same money you gave them for the SXP. The users can't get out more than the sum they put in, plus however much the team dumps.

"But ETH wants to pay rewards in it's own token! Surely ETH is a ponzi scam by this definition!" some bright idiot might say. The rewards paid by ETH will be the gas fees. New tokens will not be created. Someone will run a contract, that person will pay a fee, and the staker gets that fee. There is value being created, not just thin air.
Conversely, when nobody pays, like in the ponzis, but more tokens get created, then buyers pay. Stakers who locked up tokens pay. Everyone except the developers, who staked long before any future bagholders did, and who can cash our their massively inflated stacks for all the ETH that buyers throw at them.
Anything which pays rewards in it's own token should be viewed with suspicion. If payments can be done in USD or ETH, they should be, because that proves that somebody is actually paying for the service and the service has value. That's the magic of PNK. People are willing to pay real money to receive a real service. Nobody has to buy the token.

Only because it isn't used. BCH, ADA, whatever isn't being used doesn't have to compete for the network and is incredibly cheap. The reason ETH is expensive is because it is used. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am no longer convinced Chainlink is a legitimate project. The fact Vitalik and Clement think it's worthless was a concern, sure, but the fact Sergey is willing to partner with any rugpull which comes his way is far, far worse. Why doesn't he seem to do any due diligence on the projects which approach him? They just want a tweet from the chainlink twitter account so they can dump their bags. Chainlink partners with more scams these days than non-scams, and real, tangible development isn't even being discussed anymore. "Implied staking"? What the fuck is Sergey drooling about. If he can't find a way to make Chainlink provide a real value then it's value is 0. Staking on nodes is the only thing which can do that. And that's nowhere in sight.

Good posts. I think Sergey is either too busy (best case) or no longer has the incentive to vet every project he partners with since he's already up enough not to care.
It's pretty bullish to me that all the fud we're hearing isn't at all new. It's all been dispelled or debunked early-mid 2020. But on the contrary there are new reasons to be optimistic every day. I don't see how people aren't realizing it.
