thought you guys would appreciate this. it's an '87 double florin. also known as the "barmaids ruin" as it's very similar in dimensions to a crown coin and often would be get confused. They were only minted between 87 and 90 and never circulated well, because of this they kind of got forgotten during the decimalisation and weren't mentioned in the demonetization legislation so it still remains legal tender today. I just went through their project details thats all, its easy to see from their original proposals the project would run into trouble. You dont setup a project that scale without having these sorts of issues anyway. Also agreed, NAK seems more like a long term money pit to go after investors and government than a real mine project. Watch Seabridge and its KSM if this project gets totally canned, its the next largest north American copper gold project that would attract major investment.

That's a good idea considering there will be return trips, setting up a little sluice could make the operation go a lot more efficiently. If it's hard rock though, yeah that could be a problem with no hard rock equipment or experience at it.

I think there might be plenty that's easily accessible either way though, he mentioned that he looked around and the ground was yellow with gold and that he had plenty of colors at surface level when panning. I figure more than a century of weathering up there should have put down even more gold.

Its very remote and once you fly in, unless someone else is in that valley, they wont see you land. Since there are chartering services close by I am sure flight tours are a thing for the majestic scenery and there are mining operations and an airstrip just north of the park.
