Well for one a lot more penny stocks aren't simple P&D like crypto, a lot of times the pennystocks are just companies just starting out or in a slump, and this can be a longer term investment.

The VAST majority of cheap crypto is P&D operations and if you're not in the whales circles you get dumped on and left in the dirt. If things work out for the penny stocks the stock doesn't dump, it just goes up to a new floor and stays there unless the company fucks up or a disaster strikes it's industry.
