It could happen right now, or btc could keep rising and bring the market with it above 60k, 80k and beyond. If it keeps going up, I have a feeling that 40k is the new crash floor.

You should step out in small increments. It's early days still but you should still consider being 10% out into stables. Keep pulling 10% increments so that if the dump is unexpected you have stables on hands to stack up more. We're still a couple of cycles from the top of this bull though.
