At this point the man has easily amassed a war chest of more than $500MM which frankly no company of their size needs, so what the fuck is going on? I've been in LINK since the beginning and the ONLY thing that irks me are the constant dumps.

Remember circulating supply was 350MM once. He still has 300MM more he can dump on the market at any time. Say Sergey hands out 1M Links to company partners, node operators, or even people on the team and says “OK these are part of the circulating supply now, but you cannot sell or give these away under this contract I’m making you sign.”
This will make the price unchanged as we see now. But the supply is higher. This makes the market cap appear to be higher since market cap is total supply*current estimates price.
He’s effectively making the company appear to have much greater value pretty much overnight and not giving up much besides 1M links that will be going into the circulating supply at some point anyways

yup very true, I was mostly speaking to the other defi projects that are low volume but have seen major gains - aave and snx are just becoming blue-chip defi even though i personally don't hold any. i think the rationale behind link is moreso in both the short term (sell a bit) and long term (stake the rest) game, which will without a doubt imo outgrow aave and defi projects in the medium-long term since theres a lot of different industries in the world that chainlink / eth will benefit from that defi wont really. fwiw not saying aave or snx are bad holds at all, just not as large of a potential in the future when its all said and done. like im personally thinking of selling 2/3 of my stack 35k stack and staking the remaining 1/3 for the rest of my life with chainlink, still haven't decided though

100 percent agree, link will consume a lot more than defi and could potentially be number 1 ranked. at this point ive married my link bags and am waiting for staking then ill unironically never sell. my theory is that there will never be another hype cycle for link like we see with a lot of alts when the market starts running. i think its for a few reasons including that biz conducted psyops to fud link for so long that at this point the chainlink is a meme fud became reality for speculators, they missed cheap link, got priced out and are looking to other cheaper coins that have finally built something during crypto winter. after the wef paper and subsequent dumping, i unironically believe link will only move based on fundimentals related to staking or after staking rolls out. ive actually started selling very small increments of my link stack to diversify into defi projects. the 4 year hype cycle is here and theres too much opportunity to make insane amounts of roi for me to be so overexposed to a coin that isnt going to release staking until the very end of the bullrun or possibly after the run is over. i will of course take any gains and stick it back in link but the risk of missing out on a supercycle is far too great for me to be a link maxi anymore.
