You think it will rise to 0.10USD. It does not. Instead, it crashes to 0.030USD. You are now down 40 dollars. It fluctuates between 0.030USD and 0.045USD for the next 12 hours.

During this 12 hours, if you put another 10 dollars in at the dips of 0.03, and sell 10 dollars exactly at the peaks of 0.045, then you will eventually make more DOGE and bring the average cost of your purchases of DOGE below the cieling. Ergo, you mitigate your losses in the worst case, and bring yourself back into profits in the best case.

You could also just buy the dips and not sell the peaks, which will end up lowering your average anyway, but that requires more money, and I'm assuming that you can't risk another 10 and 10 and 10 in this hypothetical.
