COMEX has fucked up big time. As long as no one feeds the SLV beast of just pieces of paper. Look at the pic, retail investors are not authorized participants. 1) The price of silver are set at a derivatives market called the COMEX where the banks are over leveraged 186 to 1.
2) The end goal is to cause a default there by buying physical so that the paper price becomes meaningless.
3) Commodities are currently undervalued relative to dollars. A movement to purchase and safekeep silver would bring the price up back to its actual value and more.
4) If everybody in the US bought a 10 ounce coin, you would see a global shift in attitudes towards silver and against relying solely on paper fiat and cryptos as a wealth preserver.
5) I'd advocate for physical silver purchases, paper trading might win you some battles but physical purchases will win the war.
6) Buy locally and for as close to spot price as you can, do not spend all of your investment in one go, just keep a portfolio ratio of 5% in precious metals.

It's the entire point, to make a market of speculative buyers and sellers with ample price discovery, and then towards the end of the month liquidity shrinks as the speculators rollover or exit, and you're left with the actual sellers and actual buyers who execute and deliver the commodity from one place to another.

There is absolutely nothing nefarious about this, and it happens in everything else, lumber, oil, wheat, etc. Take your meds.

You can buy seconds from most places and it was the cheapest way to get it until the rush, now it's basically as expensive as buffalos, so still pretty cheap. Most places online don't let you pick your own seconds, I ordered 120 oz seconds on friday and it was 50 buffalo head coins 70 buffalo bullion, all near mint condition and they came wrapped but no variety or more expensive coins.
You could negotiate what seconds you get in person but it's largely up to what they actually have, for online purchases seconds will just get you whatever they have in surplus usually.

Well if there is no supply the price of physical silver detached more from spot. In other words the premium on physical silver goes up. So yes it will fuck up stackers that are DCAing.

Are miners a good long-term hold, particularly indexes such as SIL and SILJ? I have positions in these along with individual tickers like Dolly Varden, Fireweed Zinc, Pan American, and others. I believe both the industrial and wealth preservation theses are correct, and want leveraged exposure to rising silver prices.

its winter mate, they cant do anything so the companies news is pretty blank. Unfortunately they couldnt get in this year to do winter drilling either, far to much snow to even try so they didnt bother. We will start hearing stuff in March probably, and if not than we know the companies gone dormant and than dump it.
